Growing up in the Napa Valley, second generation vintner Greta Montgomery realized at a very young age that winemaking was both an art and a symbolic representation of one’s dedication to craftsmanship.
In 1996 her parents acquired a historic wine estate where Greta immersed herself in viticulture and enology. Throughout her career, she always felt a continuous tug pulling her back towards the Napa Valley.
“It was important for me from the very start to understand all facets of the industry. Winemaking begins in the vineyard, and the journey to your glass is never linear. There is something undeniably fulfilling about having the ability to create something truly unique that will tell a story for years to come.”
Julien Fayard, one of Napa Valley's most respected winemakers with over two decades of experience, perfectly aligned with the vision and belief in producing terroir driven wines of the highest caliber. The focus was set on creating a phenomenal wine of structured purity; one that exudes excellence, elegance, finesse, and showcases that potential in every aspect of expression.
Obsessed with the smallest of details, Greta carefully selected
all components of THE ONE IN A MILLION, favoring a direct and personal approach that followed the wine from barrel to completion.
It begins with the grape and transcends to the bottle, where
each label is manually applied post bottling, along with the iconic silver wax seal that is carefully dipped, also by hand.
